I have many projects ongoing, both editing and writing. On the editing front, I am the Editor of the Popular Culture Studies Journal (http://mpcaaca.org/the-popular-cultur...), the official journal of the Midwest Popular Culture Association. My awesome team is putting Volume 2 together, which promises to be a true double-issue, about 350+ pages.
Norma Jones and I are editing a new collection of essays examining the aging hero in popular culture, which will be published by Rowman & Littlefield. The book consists of 15-20 essays that look at how the notion of who or what can be a hero has changed over the last decade or so.
In terms of writing, I am working on books about John Updike and the Rabbit Angstrom series and an analysis of Mad Men.
