Yes, it was a nod to Gilgamesh, though it really didn't have much meaning other than I needed something better than the name I originally had in mind, which was Hundu. I thought "Hundu" sounded silly.

I am currently putting the finishing touches on two new novels, "The Linen Butterfly" and "The Vimana Incident," but for the most part I'm working on finishing my BA and preparing for grad school.

Don't do what I did when I was first starting out. I isolated myself from outside influence to try to keep my style "pure." That was a mistake. Read other authors in your favorite genres and see how they do it. Do brief stories where you try to imitate their styles, then by and by distance yourself from their style by writing the way you want to.

Poorly. It just has to run its course. I try to make up for it by producing as much work as I can when I'm able.
