T.H. Hernandez Hi, Taylor. Thanks so much for asking!! I'm working on it now, but have had a few things derail me. Hoping to have it out early next year.
T.H. Hernandez Because I have such limited time to write (full-time job, kids, husband, etc.) when I actually find the time, I'm itching to write. What I need to figure out is how to find more time to do it.

However, I'm a plotter and not a pantser, so when I'm chopping vegetables for dinner, sitting at a stoplight, or walking the dog, I'm figuring out plot points in my head. That way, when I finally sit down to write, I have a plan.

T.H. Hernandez I think this is what you're talking about. This is a consortium you can join and get into NetGalley at a lower price:

They promote female authors in the science fiction, fantasy, and horror, but I'm not sure how rigorous they are when it comes to policing their membership.
T.H. Hernandez The Uprising, the third book in The Union series.
T.H. Hernandez There are no shortcuts. No matter which path to publication you choose, the work is hard. You absolutely need to put out the best product you can. Whether you’re looking for an agent, a publisher, or considering going the indie route, your book must be complete, polished, and worthy of publication. Putting out a sub-par product won’t get you representation, a contract, or good reviews, which in turn can lead to more sales.
T.H. Hernandez At least six, possibly seven if I can't adequately wrap it all up in six. I want to make sure all of the plot points are properly addressed and not rushed. The second book is in revision and the two after that are both drafted. I have a good idea of where the story is going overall and how it ends.
T.H. Hernandez I'm currently working on revisions and hope to have it ready for publication by spring.
T.H. Hernandez The best thing about being a writer is sharing my sometimes bizarre imagination with others. Being able to put my ideas down on paper and not just letting them float around in my head was almost something I was compelled to do. But learning how to do it correctly, so that these ideas would be an entertaining story that I can share, makes it infinitely more satisfying.
T.H. Hernandez Sort of. Colin was inspired by a real-life friend of mine who happened to be a guy and my best friend, but I wouldn't say he's based on him. The nature of the friendship rather than the character himself.
T.H. Hernandez I don't get writer's block. I really don't, and I know that's sort of like the skinny girl saying she can eat anything she wants (I hate her by the way). I have plenty of other issues to deal with, like not screwing around on social media when I should be writing or editing and not using quite so many adverbs. But my problem is that I have too many ideas and not nearly enough time, or apparently focus, to stay on task. Oh look, a new tweet.
