At first, I thought your books were going to be a series until I read more about them. I love the way you have a central theme going that focuses on one of the elements. What made you decide on using a quarry as the focal point for the action in this novel (and that must be the earth element)?

Philippa Cameron Thanks for your question, Keira! When I first had the idea for the plot for Every Move I Have Made, I knew that parts of it were going to be quite dark. Immediately I saw a large, suffocating hole filled with dark water, but it wasn't so much the water that is menacing, but whatever is closing it in and causing it to be dark. That was my quarry! And as I wrote, the quarry became more and more integral to the story, so it worked brilliantly.

What are you currently working on?

Philippa Cameron Look out for my free novella, So We Beat On, coming soon! It's based on one of my characters from The Day We Are Born - readers have been asking if I'm writing a sequel because they want to know what happened next... I'm working on another book at the moment, so I've written a short story in Elle's best friend Libby's voice to keep my readers happy!
