My co-author, John Patrick Kennedy, came up with the idea for Weresisters, which we then molded into a book together. It incorporates many themes from my own life, such as self-discovery and abandonment. The idea for Saving Bone came from an experience as a child when my brother and I "saved" a dog from its abusive owner.
