Shelley Stoehr Keep writing! Write every day if you can. Develop a routine when you sit at your desk for an hour, or a couple pages, or whatever you decide, but you do it whether you're "in the mood" or not.
Shelley Stoehr I'll take a break to read some great books. I also love to watch TED talks about storytelling and creativity.
Shelley Stoehr Writing is the best thing about being a writer! I loveeeee to write! It's almost a spiritual experience for me.
Shelley Stoehr A new YA novel, The Good Girl, about the sister of a boy accused of murdering a classmate. Also starting work on Weresisters II soon.
Shelley Stoehr I read, read, read! Most recently, We Were Liars, by E. Lockhart.
Shelley Stoehr My co-author, John Patrick Kennedy, came up with the idea for Weresisters, which we then molded into a book together. It incorporates many themes from my own life, such as self-discovery and abandonment. The idea for Saving Bone came from an experience as a child when my brother and I "saved" a dog from its abusive owner.
