Flora Reigada I would travel through an old wardrobe to visit Narnia from C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia." Once there, I would search for the magnificent Aslan, who I know, has always been searching for me and every one of us.
Flora Reigada Thank you for asking and I apologize for the delay. My devotional, "Where Your Heart Meets God's" will soon be released by Helping Hands Press. If you have a moment, please check it out on my publisher's blog.

How about you? What are you reading or writing?
Flora Reigada I love capturing thoughts and with them, "painting" word pictures. When characters dance through my imagination, I can hold them there, giving life and personality, then introducing my friends and fiends to the world. Writing is an privilege and an adventure, often taken with others such as my husband, who provides dialogue and testosterone for male characters, when needed.
Flora Reigada I'm currently working on getting my "Castle in the Sun" romance/mystery series ready for publication with Helping Hands Press. Books are "Love's Sweetest Revenge, Love and Obsession and Lovers and Secrets." Right now, I'm almost finished ironing glitches out of the first book. I'm in the final stages of labor (so to speak) and that baby is about to be born.
Flora Reigada Scripture inspires me as does music and a small patch of woods behind my home. But for me, inspiration comes best in solitude. This was in short supply after my husband retired and two grown children moved back home, one with children of her own. I found my much-needed solitude by locking myself in the bathroom for an hour or so each day. There, I would write another chapter, page, paragraph or even sentence of my work. When a friend heard about this, she actually paid a jeweler to craft a special charm just for me--a 14-karat gold toilet brush! I wear it proudly and I still lock myself in the bathroom to write. Thankfully, our family has another bathroom down the hall.
Flora Reigada "Never, never, never give up." Winston Churchill.
Flora Reigada The idea came during a walk my husband, son and I took in the countryside of upstate New York. Wind was stirring the treetops, while a flock of birds sang in the branches. We were enjoying it all, when my son asked a question.

"What would you do if the wind stopped blowing, the birds stopped singing and eveything became eerily still? Then suddenly, the birds launch into the sky, squaking and frantically flapping their wings, as if to escape some danger. Looking to your side you see a mother bear with cubs. The mother bear looks your way and begins running. How would you react?"

This word picture inspired the opening scene in my romantic mystery, "Love's Sweetest Revenge" to be published by "Helping Hands Press." It describes the life and death situation faced by main character, Liz Bertelli. What would she do and could any good possibly come out of an encounter with a bear?

Find out in "Love's Sweetest Revenge," coming soon.
