Hi Gloria , I remain intrigued by your writing style and genre. I remain fascinated by historical fiction. I am a new writer on the block and my first book "The Chronicler of the Hooghly is under publication. I look forward to getting some references or critiques from established authors like you. What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Gloria Oliver To me, the best thing about being a writer is the ability to explore themes, places, and people. To entertain and share the things I've discovered with others. And to be honest, once you get the bug, there's no going back. :)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Gloria Oliver Never give up. Always keep learning. Go to conventions. Talk to authors and other aspiring writers. You are not alone.

What are you currently working on?
Gloria Oliver I am currently working on two manuscripts. The first, currently titled "Alien Redemption" is a science fiction novel. Currently doing a second round of edits on it before I shop it around.

The work in progress is titled "Breaking Dawn Cleaners" - it deals with a crime scene cleaner who ends up dragged into working for supernatural creatures - whether she wants to or not! :) This one will be an Urban Fantasy.

How do you get inspired to write?
Gloria Oliver Inspiration can come from anywhere. So do fun things, strange things, just keep yourself open to absorb knowledge and inspiration will find you. :)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Gloria Oliver For my last published novel titled "Jewel of the Gods" - I got the central idea for the novel from watching anime - mainly "Ranma 1/2". While the novel is not a comedy, I still thought it would be fascinating to take a man who doesn't know a lot about what it is to be a woman, and then put him in the position to find out. :P I had a lot of fun with this one. Heh heh
