Hi Erika!
I'm writing the third book now, in fact. It's titled "To Bait a Rake" and should be published in 2016. I also have a short Christmas story connected to the Rake Patrol that will be out this fall. I know it's been a while between Rake Patrol books, but in between I've written a fun time travel titled "Charming the Professor" that should be out this fall as well. I've been busy :-)

Write. Make a schedule to sit down at the keyboard and write. The more you write, the better you get. Even after you're published, you keep on improving. So write, write, write.
I wish I had been more disciplined in my approach to writing before I was published. Everything else seemed to be a priority. A contract deadline changes all that. It would have been easier if I had accustomed myself to a disciplined writing schedule - and it would have been easier if I had a large inventory of unsold stories that I could have pulled out and fixed up (grin). Oh well...

Having fans! It's amazing. There's nothing more motivating to create than someone writing a positive review or sending a positive fan letter. I write stories primarily for me. I write the stories that I'd like to read. That others enjoy my stories is just...incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I just turned in a completed novel so I'm in-between books at the moment. I'm writing a Christmas short story connected to my Rake Patrol series, but that shouldn't take too long. Then I'm writing the sequel to Bound by Moonlight. The sequel's title is Bound by Touch. Can't wait to see how that one works out (grin).

Well...my most recent book is one that is not available yet. It was inspired by a trip to New Orleans and viewing the Charm gates at the Court of Two Sisters restaurant. I titled the book "Charmed" but often the author's title is changed before it's available to the public.
The inspiration for my most recently published book, The Whisky Laird's Bed, was the close proximity of Scotland to England. Temperance was a big issue in England during my time period. One of the ladies of my Rake Patrol series was a real firebrand. It was natural that she'd promote the Temperance ideals. With Scotland so close, it made sense to pair her up with a Scotch distiller. Of course, I had to do a lot of research, but that's what I love about writing (grin).
