(view spoiler)[In Bad Breakup, is the heroine celibate and hero not? I strongly dislike romance plots where hero sleeps around during separation but heroine is all chaste. women also have needs! so unfair and totally unromantic and the girl deserves better. Apparently h loves H so much she can't even look at OM but H sleeps around! talk about double standards! if h can be celibate for 6 years so can be H! does he even love her? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Eva, Thanks for reaching out. Girl, I feel ya! But know that Colin definitely loves CeCe and while they do have their struggles and different ways of dealing with them (CeCe tends to close in on herself, while Colin looks outward for solace), I can assure you that CeCe has needs. Unfortunately, she doesn't trust easily so that makes it challenging for her to find ways of alleviating those needs! But, that being said, every book hero and heroine I write are different, and that just happens to be one of this particular couple's struggles. If you're wanting a tougher female who goes after what she wants, I'd recommend Heather (Bad Husband) or Bec (Bad Divorce). Have a good one!

First of all, feel free to ramble away - I like rambling :) And thanks so much for getting back to me. You're right though - everyone is different and like in real life, have different personalities and ways of dealing with certain situations. I did actually read a part of this book, but I struggle when a hero has slept around while still proclaiming to have always loved the heroine. That never makes sense to me and I think that's the main reason I struggle with second chance romances (because my brain doesn't work that way).
Having said that, I also realised maybe I was being too hasty and am currently reading Desire at Roosevelt Ranch (I forget to read book series in order) which is going well so far. I think a big reason for that is because I only tend to struggle if it's a second chance between the hero and heroine. When it's not, I find myself able to get lost in the story and appreciate it for what it is.
Thanks again for responding - I really do appreciate it :) ...more

Of course! Thanks for your comments. You bring up good points and something I definitely will ponder when writing similar characters to CeCe in the future (and second chance romances too!) Enjoy Kel and Justin, I do love their story! If you read on in the series, though, maybe skip Heartbreak. Especially if you're not into second chances, because it is 2nd chance to the nth degree :) You'd be safe to jump straight to book three, Collision at Roosevelt Ranch as they all stand alone ;) Take care! <3

Hi Diann, I don't know how I missed this before! The third RR (Collision at RR) came out in May and book four comes out August 4th (Regret at RR). Sorry about that!

Ahh!! How did I just see this! I'm sorry Beccie! It'll be out in March of 2017!

The best thing about being a writer is getting the voices out of my head! ;) I'm only half joking because while I do have images or scenes that pop into my head frequently (and repeatedly) if I don't write them down, the best thing has been connecting with readers and bloggers and other authors! Seeing my work in print or seeing a post that someone put online about me (say what?) is still surreal but it's so awesome to have my story out there and to have people enjoying it! Now that's the best ever!

I try to think about how I want the scene or chapter to end. Usually if I start at the end and move backwards, I can move past whatever is blocking me. If that doesn't work, I step away for a couple of hours and come back. A fresh mind always helps me!
