I listen to a lot of music, anything from classical to pop to rock. I love to read lyrics and often find a line will inspire me or give me an ideal tone for the story. Articles in a newspaper or the history channel have also given me ideas.

I came across a little book of Folklore and was fascinated by the myths and legends around the raven. It started there and the story grew around the particular raven folklore I chose.
