Kate Woods Everything seems to inspire me to write. I always have plenty of inspiration. I just never seem to have enough time.
Kate Woods I think that the only way to be a writer is to write. I used to try to write and perfect what I wrote at the same time. Then I read about the concept of spewing, just writing whatever comes to mind in draft format and then going back and perfecting it.
Kate Woods I think that the best thing about being a writer of fiction is that you control the outcome of every situation and the destiny of every character.
Kate Woods I'm happy to say that writer's block is not generally a problem for me because I usually have more than one project in progress at a time. So if I reach a point in a storyline where I'm just not sure what direction I want to go with it, I often set it aside and work on another project. Now if I am working on something that I really want to finish, or that has a specific deadline I have to meet and I run into a snag, then I sometimes write several different versions that move the storyline forward. Then I choose my favorite version.
