Greetings, I found you here and your work. I want to read my FIRST apocalyptic novel and want it to be meaningful. So, I wanted to know more about the author of the trilogy that I selected and the decision is made because of your work in Quito, Ecuador (land that I love). I am from Puerto Rico, and my second language is English as well. My question to you is as follow: Which genre is your fav?
Morgan Nyberg To read: My favourite genre is quality literature, 19th & 20th centuries, Tolstoy to Cormac McCarthy.
To write: If I had the choice I would be writing poetry. But I am enjoying working in the literary post-apocalyptic genre.
Ecuador? If you're interested, my novel El Dorado Shuffle is set in a fictional Andean country that resembles Ecuador.

Morgan, Any thoughts on why the Pacific Northwest has so many apocalyptic books? ;-)
Morgan Nyberg I wasn't aware this region had any more post-apocalyptic books than anywhere else. If it's true, it could be because we're more ecologically minded here and so are more aware of destructive environmental and economic practices and the inevitable planetary consequences. Canada's only Green Party member of parliament comes from Vancouver Island, where I live.
