Nancy Boyarsky The headlines. News stories. My imagination.
Nancy Boyarsky It comes from within. I was born a storyteller and a lover of fiction.
Nancy Boyarsky Book three of the Nicole Graves mysteries
Nancy Boyarsky It's incredibly hard to get published. But don't give up. Enroll in a fiction writing class. Or join a writers group. Or hire a editor. It's pretty hard to write in a vacuum.
Nancy Boyarsky Holding the first print copy of your newly published book in your hands.
Nancy Boyarsky I don't have WB. If I get stuck on a plot point, I sit on it for a couple of days until an idea comes to me. Also use the techniques from "How to Write in your Sleep" I recommend it.
Nancy Boyarsky So many to choose from: Pip and Estella from Great Expectations; Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. But I would pick Harriet and Guy Pringle from Olivia Manning's incomparable six-part series Fortunes of War. This is one of my all-time favorites. I've read it several times and always enjoy it.
Nancy Boyarsky Megan: Here are some book recommendations for you: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I read it when I was your age and it is still one of my favorite books. You would probably enjoy The Princess Diaries series, The Hunger Games series, and books about KiKi Strike books by Kirsten Miller. If you're into grownup mysteries, my favorites are In the Woods by Tana French (warning: it's scary) and
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

I have written six books, but this is my first novel. The other books were nonfiction, and four of those were high school textbooks.

I have always loved writing, from the time I learned how to print, and reading fiction. So of course I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.

My favorite color is green.
