I am reading A Death in Tuscany and am confused by the following:- P 7In Italy the first son is named after the father's father, so every man's namesake is his firstborn grandson (presumably Filippo). P 8 My father had grown up, the second son P 34Nonno Filippo was head of the Castello and his position would pass to the 1st son's 1st son (Santo?).
Dick Rosano Later in the book, you find that the first son died, so the winery passed on to the next one. Thanks for asking.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Dick Rosano I have traveled to Vienna many times and thought that it presented the right atmosphere and culture, including nightlife, to use as a setting for the story. As for the characters, the protagonist is based on my own life in military intelligence and, later, as a wine and food critic.
