Eleanor Watkins I find the best way to get inspired is to read a book - or several- that really grip you and keep you turning the pages. Then I begin wondering whether I could write something as good, or at least give it a try. I usually have a few plot ideas simmering away in the back of my mind. Then I pick up my pen....
Eleanor Watkins I've always been interested in medieval history and especially the time of the Black Death. In The Village, I wanted to explore the way survivors coped when they'd lost family, home, work, everything, and how they found courage and hope to make a future.
