I've never had it. If the story doesn't come easily I scrap it early on. I've never had a first draft I couldn't power all the way through. Well, I suppose I've been stuck a time or two, trying to figure out a direction to go. That's usually in the edit stage though, so I don't know that it would be 'writer's block' necessarily.

People reading your stories and enjoying them. Or hating them. Even that can be comical sometimes. In one word I would answer 'entertaining'.

I don't really think there are aspiring writers per se. I think you're a writer or you aren't. Either you love it or you don't. If you find yourself trudging around, unmotivated to write your own story, then you need to evaluate what you're doing. If you're aspiring to make money, hah, that was a joke. If you're aspiring to make yourself a 'better' writer, my advice would be to read, read, read, and read some more, and then read some more.

Getting the rest of my Larry's Journal books ready and writing a Thanksgiving and Christmas special as well. I've also began somewhat of a spinoff on Larry's Journal called Reeds of Grass. It's about a couple of reeds that grow in a drainage ditch. They observe Larry's street and believe themselves to be gods. I don't want to give too much away, but that's the premise.

I don't really know how to explain this. I've always enjoyed writing and since graduating college I've only written about things I enjoy. I get ideas just walking across the grass and wondering what all the ants are doing in the ground. I feel like a good story can come from anything if you really want.

My most recent book is a follow up in a series. The original idea came to me while in a social setting with friends. I began to look around the room and wondered what people were thinking. It went on for a few days even at the office. I realized people probably behave way different than they think. I know I do. So I decided to write stories about a guy who seems normal all day, but secretly despises his life and everyone around him. In a humorous way of course.
