Hi Tariqah- glad you like Paul Imrie's cover. The Good Shepherd is published and available in paperback from Amazon, and also on Kindle and iBook. I do hope you like it.
There is a compendium of all three books planned for later this year and a book of short stories - Dr Power's Casebook.

The Piper appears in The Darkening Sky and in The Good Shepherd. There is a big clue as to who he is in the Good Shepherd. The plan is to reveal his true identity in Schrodinger's God, the fourth book in the series. I'd be interested to hear who readers think he is though...

Well - there are clues to what happens in the rest of the series hidden in the earlier books. So, for instance, the title of the third novel (The Good Shepherd) is prefigured in one of the illustrations in The Fire of Love....and that's all I'm saying for now.

The Good Shepherd is nearly complete. Only the penultimate chapter is left to write.

The third book is about 70% complete and will feature locations in Chester, Shrewsbury, Naples, North Carolina, Peru and Toronto. Yes - Dr Power is on his travels to try and solve a murder at sea, and see that justice is done!
I'm expecting to finish by early 2015.

I'm not sure I have the answer. There has been a twenty year gap between books two and three in the Power and Lynch series! I knew that book three would start with the image of an empty boat drifting on the water, and that the title with be The Good Shepherd, and that was where the books started and ended. Then, on a flight to to the USA, with no entertainment system and a whole seven hours of silence to just think in, the entire plot came to me. So I guess the answer is concentrated thinking time!

The Fire of Love, the second in the Power/Lynch series is about the overwhelming nature of intense love. There is a rare condition in psychiatry called de Clerambault's syndrome. This condition is also called erotomania and can be a kind of delusional love that is usually projected by one person on an unattainable object - usually where there si a power imbalance. The love is not reciprocated, but the deluded person believes, without any objective evidence, that their object of their love loves them back. It;'s a sad condition and sometimes frightening if you are the object of this overwhelming and unwanted attention.

I'm busy working on the third instalment of the Power/Lynch series which will be called The Good Shepherd. See if you can find a clue to this book in Paul Imrie's illustrations in The Fire of Love.
