Korben Dallas and Leeloo from the Fifth Element.
The why? Mainly because their growth as characters is so good in that movie. I am a huge sucker for amazingly creative characters and their journey. That story hits every single one of my buttons. Scifi story line, love, redemption, relationship growth, tenderness, humor, and a dead bad guy. I LOVE it.

Think long and hard on the choice of "Writer for the love of writing your stories" vs. "sharing your stories with the world in publishing". Its a big decision that too many take lightly these days and it ends up gobbling them up and leaving their stories tainted by disappointment. If you write a story, YOU ARE A WRITER and no one can take that away from you. If you write your story start to finish, you've done more than most people ever do. Revel in that accomplishment and hang on to the JOY of writing no matter what. If you ever feel your joy slipping away, step back, re-evaluate and recharge. There's no rush unless you have a contract with a date on it. Also, if you choose to publish, never stop writing your stories. If the first one takes you 10 years to publish, then you can potentially have 9 others you've written just waiting in the wings. NEVER STOP WRITING to focus on that first manuscript. Keep writing.

The chance to create. To give life to all these ideas I've been holding on to for so many years. Getting the chance to dive deep into the characters and find out what makes them tick and what they are made of as people. That discovery. Being surprised, shocked, grief stricken, cheering for their success and crying when they screw up. Its the purest joy.

I don't get writers block but I do get exhausted. Mentally and physically. During those times my word counts will be lower but never stop. I will take a day off to recharge, go outside, go to lunch with a friend or spend the day with my family out of the house. All those things will get me far enough away from the story to refresh me. Then when I go back to the keys the words will flow much better.
