I saw a need for it. I did not feel that there were any books of this kind out there. I wanted to write a book that promoted the profession of hypnosis by presenting scientific evidence in support of the healing art. At first I was going to write a book about the history of hypnosis, but then I realized that it could be more. So I added the intent to awaken readers to the potential to influence their body and mind. I think that is why this book is unique.
