How do you deal with writer’s block?
Mike Artell Never really had a problem with it. Of course, I'm not writing deep, penetrating novels. I write fun stuff so I just write about what comes into my mind.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Mike Artell The freedom. It's still a job and I still have obligations to meet deadlines, arrive to speaking engagements prepared and on time, etc. But I love the freedom to work on the projects I decide to work on.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Mike Artell Realize that if you want to SELL what you write, you're in a business relationship. The more you know about marketing your work, the more successful you'll be.

What are you currently working on?
Mike Artell A new how-to-draw book, a new humorous graphic novel and some updated versions of my wordplay (jokes, riddles, tongue twisters, limericks, etc.) books. Any suggestions for new books I should write/illustrate?
