Hmmm. The self-doubt? The loneliness? The depression? It's so hard to choose!

There is no such thing. Writer's block is just the ego out of whack.
Put your pen to paper and write a word. The only real writer's block occurs if your hands are tied, or someone is pointing a gun to your head and telling you not to write a word. Otherwise, shut up and write.

After a four-year relationship with an abusive, alcoholic, and pathological liar ended, I was a bit down in the dumps, so decided to use that depression and self-loathing to delve into deep waters. My current project is as Kafkaesque as "Echo Detained" but completely tied to our reality. This means, the character starts on a downward slope and it just continues to go down, down, down...

Thanks, Corey... don't know why or how I missed your question, and apologize for the delay.
I'm currently working on a very different novel than The Most Important Memoir Ever, etc. It's a difficult book, as I am dragging an emotionally wounded protagonist on a journey that is surreal, humorous, and painful. No references to previous works in this one.
I've been encouraged to write more about Delasco, though, and may reprint one of his slim books of philosophy, with commentary, if I can obtain the manuscript. There is only one known copy of "Things Fall Together and Other Lectures," and Echo (aka Caleb Allen Nell) had it. Since his disappearance, I have no idea where to find him, or a copy of the book.
