I truly have no answer for this one. I basically conjure up characters first and then figure out the best setting and storyline to fit their unique profile. One of my latest, Texas Forged, was born from my mother's love of genealogy. My ancestors entered Texas via Indianola so I knew I wanted a story set there. The hurricane gave me a setting that helped create tension. Everything else just sorta fell into place.

Good question. I've had writer's block for about 6 months now but I don't think it's writer's block. I think it's just a severe shortage of time since I'm involved in so many other things with regards to home and work. I've decided that my New Year's resolution is to set aside time to write again even if it's only thirty minutes a day. One can accomplish a lot in thirty minutes.

Do your homework when it comes to publishers and/or self publishing. Be open to constructive criticism and edit, edit and when you think you've got it polished, edit some more. The one thing most writers will tell you is to be true to your love of writing and persevere regardless of another's opinion. Only you can make your dreams come true, but a little luck along the way isn't a bad thing either.

I love creating unique worlds that I can share with readers. I fell in love with romance when I was twenty and those books saw me through some rough years. I want to give readers a place to escape if only for a brief moment. If I can bring joy to at least one reader, then I'm happy.

I'm currently working on a sequel to the Keeper of Moon Haven, which I started eight years ago. I'm close to finishing it but as always I'm struggling with the end, mainly because I don't want it to end.

I'm always inspired to write. It's like a driving passion. Finding time to devote to this desire is the hard part.
