Stephanie Pedersen I write a lot of cookbooks. I just wrote one on root vegetables--to be published in December--because roots are something my family enjoys. So often, the books I write are celebrating something I love.
Stephanie Pedersen I write every day. I do a lot of freelance writing, so I am often writing about something that's been assigned to me. Which I actually find inspiring. As for "my own" work, I am inspired when some random idea pops into my head and never leaves.
Stephanie Pedersen I suppose it's different for each writer, isn't it? For me, it's the alchemy: Using elements of imagination and work, I can create something.
Stephanie Pedersen By eating. Or talking on the phone. Though I try not to eat while I am talking on the phone. Or I surf the web, pretending that I am "researching" my next book. Or I daydream. When I get tired enough of these, I return to writing.
Stephanie Pedersen Read, read, read! And get a copy of Strunk & White and a copy of William Zinsser's On Writing Well, and refer to each. Often.
Stephanie Pedersen A series of Kindle cookbooks, each about a different superfood. Each time I write a cookbook, I tend to overwrite—really overwrite. So I'm left with 50 to 100 (sometimes more!) beautiful, health-supportive recipes that I so want to share. This series will be a collection of those recipes.
