It's just been one this summer: "Lord of Chaos" which is book six in Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series. Jordan doesn't skimp on detail and this one has taken me as long to read as it took me to get get through books 1-5, but I set a goal of reading the entire series this year...so I keep moving forward on this one.
