Hi Stephanie, I loved all three of the Thomas Lynch novels and have read each one a few times each. You mentioned a while back that book 4 might possibly be self published after Seventh Street folded. Is that still a possibility?

Is there going to be a fourth Thomas Lynch book?

Stephanie Gayle Not soon. Last fall, Seventh Street Books, which published my Chief Lynch books, got sold to another publisher and that publisher declined to publish the fourth book.

Long story short, unless I choose to self-publish it (and I could! once things settle down) it won't be available.

I just picked up a copy of Idyll Hands from my public library without realizing it was the #3 book in the series. I was wondering if I needed to read the first two books before Idyll Hands, or if each book is a standalone novel? Thank you in advance for any information :)

Stephanie Gayle You can read it as a standalone. It won't "spoil" the mysteries of the other two books.

9/24/17: Good morning, Ms. Gayle. I've just finished the second in your Thomas Lynch series and really liked it! Well done! Love the series. My only small disappointment was that my favorite character, Thomas, has no love interest simmering on the back burner. At some point in the series, will we get to see a happier police chief?

Stephanie Gayle Thomas is moving toward a happier place, and his romantic life is part of that. But I suspect there might be a few more roadblocks in his path...
