I am reading, Praying for Strangers, by River Jordan. I have a couple of mysteries from Norwegian authors because I want to be reminded of snow! And I'm just getting ready to order a book by a New Mexico author, Querencia by Stephen Bodio

What a provocative question! So many mysteries in life but not sure any of them would make a good plot for a book. I suppose there is always a mystery for me as to whether or not I stay a pastor in a church. Not very interesting, I suppose; but to me, it's never completely revealed.

Very interesting question and I don't really have an answer for it. As I thought about it, most of the books I have been reading of late didn't give me couples; so I'm drawing a blank. I have been enjoying Elizabeth Berg's The Dream Lover but not sure which of George Sand's lovers I am most partial. So, I got nothing here. Sorry!

Yikes, Tanya, two months ago you wrote the question! Just seeing it today! Sorry!! So let's see about your questions: I think there is more ease when readers can pronounce the names. And I think you let the characters tell you who/what they are. Go with your heart.

So sorry, M. Didn't see the question until today! We've been moving from NM to NC and I lost a lot of Internet stuff!! Anyway, thanks for writing. I had a third Pie Town but it didn't fly with the publisher! Thanks for your kind words. Have you read my latest stand alone? The Art of Arranging Flowers, it's under Lynne Branard. If you like Pie Town, I think you'll like that one. Let me know!! Also, I do more with Facebook so check me out there!

Kathleen, think I just answered. Thanks for trying a second time!! Been moving and out of touch for awhile!

Hi Kathleen, don't know about a fourth at this time. HarperCollins Christian Publishing has said no; so I'm looking for another publisher! I do have another book out in January with Berkley Books. Hope you'll like that one! Traveling Light under the name Lynne Branard. Thanks for the question!!

Hi! Thanks for the question and thanks for reading the Hope Springs series. If I'm writing a mystery, I need to know more about what is going to happen, (who gets killed for example and who did it!) but with the other books, I don't know too much about what happens before I sit down to write. I learn the plot as I'm writing!

The Case of the Sin City Sister is a fish out of water story. On a recent trip to Las Vegas I thought about the character Sister Eve trying to make her way around The Strip. It seemed like a fun way to take the nun out of her hometown. Her sister is living there and it just made sense!

Usually I get blocked when I think I know what a character will do. Sometimes the character has a surprise and I must leave the computer, take a walk, come back, and allow myself to be told the story from the character.

I feel so completely engaged in life when I'm writing. There's something so wonderful about being in the center of a story as it's being told!

Don't be afraid to tell your story! Write it down and worry about editing later.

I just finished the third mystery in the Divine Detective Agency Series. I'm getting ready to start on something totally new!

I have always kept a diary or journal because it has always seemed to me that writing helps me get to my truth! When I was twelve or thirteen I wrote a holiday story and finally got my dad to sit down and hear it. When I finished the story, I looked up and saw tears in my dad's eyes. I thought, 'Wow! I wrote something that moved my father!!' That was a high I have never forgotten. I love the power of stories!
