For the book I'm currently writing, I got the idea about 10 years ago from a photograph. I was super busy with other writing projects at the time, so I made character and plot notes and saved them in a computer folder for later.

Pretty much anything can inspire me as a writer, but nature walks are one of the best ways that I clear my head and get new ideas flowing. Also music and landscape artwork are very inspirational.

My commute. But seriously, it's fabulous working from home after spending most of my previous career in LA traffic. And I love the creativity. My head would explode if I didn't have an outlet for all my ideas.

Read what you want to write. Write what you enjoy. And if you decide to get into the publishing side, be patient and persistent. It can take years to build a readership.

I'm doing corrections for the final book in my Desert Magick series right now, which is slated for release in early 2015. I'm also working on the 2nd draft of a new stand-alone fantasy novel.
