How do you deal with writer’s block?

I try to find out what is wrong with the story and then I can move forward.

S.L. Ellis Writing allows me to figure out what I'm thinking, what I feel, and what I believe. I usually am surprised by my opinions and thoughts when I see them in writing.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
S.L. Ellis When I moved from Michigan to Florida, I discovered the new neighborhood was 95% retirees. I didn't exactly fit in (partly because of my age and partly because of my less-than bubbly personality). I began thinking the 'what if' questions regarding living such a community, and that's how Lane Changes came to be.
