With my upcoming book...I back burnered it until I worked out the kinks. Same with the fanfiction novel I finished. I needed a little time for my imagination to grasp what my characters were telling me and allowing me to put that idea to the virtual page.

For me, its not so much inspiration, but rather a need to write. I write when I can, which is not as much as I should, but life is still there and needs to be dealt with.

I enrolled in an online creative writing class with the final being the first chapter of a mystery novel. I completed it, turned it in and was gifted a follow on course for free. I continued writing on the manuscript for a while, but got sidetracked by life. I returned to it a while later and finished it.
