Roy, my husband is also a direct descendent of Patrick. What a delight to find his story and all your other books. Like you, we were fascinated by Patrick and Catherine’s story, and have visited both Watson’s Bay, Kincumber (Holy Cross Church), not to mention Dublin, new and old site of Kilmainham Gaol, Cove Harbour and Wicklow on the Bay all twice. Why did you change surname for mother’s maiden name?

Roy T. Humphreys Hi Margaret, I was reluctant to use my own surname for the main character plus I felt that Rourke had a better "ring" to it for story purposes. I got the Rourke surname from Patrick's mother's maiden name.
The third, and probably final, book in the series (Deviations From Paradise) will be out later this year, although a paperback version is currently available as a pre-publication fundraiser for the newborn intensive care unit at Randwick Hospital.
