When I first started writing, seriously, I could bang out a novella in a couple of weeks. I wrote every day, sometimes for hours. Then I started getting published, and writing with other people. The "rules" bogged me down and I found myself writing less and less. How do I get back to what I once was?

Have you considered a new genre? Some area where you can play without all the constraints of wherever you make your money? A fun pen name could do a lot to get you back to the love of writing.

Do you have an eta release date for 5th deathless series book?
Chris Fox Oh wow, I finally discovered the questions section. I don't have a date, but The Ark War will definitely be out in 2018. The outline is nearly finished!

Do you know the release date of the audio version of No Mere Zombies?
Chris Fox The audio files were submitted Friday, so they should be up the first week of June. I'll post here as soon as it goes live!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Chris Fox We don't know how old the Sphinx is. We make guesses, but evidence suggests it's far older than we thought. This got me wondering. What if there were cultures older than ours? What if they were more advanced than us? Could their 'magic' have accounted for our earliest myths? I took that and ran with it.

How do you get inspired to write?
Chris Fox Through unique experiences. I'll go someplace new, or hear a snippet of conversation. Then my inner five year old will start asking why, and the next thing I know there's a story.

What are you currently working on?
Chris Fox Deathless Book 3 and the first Deathless novella. Deathless book 2 needs one more solid edit before I move it towards print.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Chris Fox Write. Every single thing. Keep writing until you finish your project. Do not allow yourself to go back and edit until you have a complete manuscript.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Chris Fox The single best thing reading a review from someone you don't know talking about how much your book had an impact. I love telling stories and knowing that some people love them feels phenomenal.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Chris Fox Maybe it was nearly three decades of roleplaying games, but I've been fortunate enough to never run into writer's block. Quite the opposite. I can't find time to write all the ideas I'm managed to pile up.
