I am currently working on book 2 in the Free series. Each work is stand alone but the characters overlap. In Free To Trust we meet Cole Jameson who becomes infatuated with Kate Samson. The first chapter of this work is available at the end of Free To Try.

How I started writing is simple. I had the basis of a story that just wouldn't go away. When I started following those ideas they morphed themselves into Free To Try.

Criticism is key. You love your work but not everyone will. There are people out there who are willing to help and offer constructive comments but there are also haters. Learn early how to distinguish the difference.

That's easy. The chance to let my imagination run wild. There are no limits of what I can create on the page. Then if it doesn't work I can delete and start over.

I find walking away from the computer and finding some brain numbing activity like cleaning or cooking allows the creative juices to flow. Many plot twists developed for me while cleaning. I then run back to a notebook I keep handy and write myself notes.
