There is nothing more exciting than creation. Creating is the purpose of every person, no matter how it manifests. Writing is great because you don't need anyone else to do it. If my work entertains, inspires, informs, or somehow positively affects another person, then that's icing on the cake!

I've found writer's block is most typical on a first draft of a manuscript. I'm staring at a blank page that needs to become a full one. (A good time to remind myself that I'm creating, or pulling, something from nothing - a worthy endeavor!) So I must write SOMETHING - a note, a line, a word, a thought. I personally find music to be quite inspiring and guiding. Sometimes I need the total quite and clearness of the early morning. Once a story gets rolling and you can feel it wanting to be born, then you're in The Zone!
