"The best" is kind of difficult to say, but certainly, one of the greatest things about being a writer is the feeling you get when someone truly likes your work.
There was this one friend who read part of *And so we were* at my place. I was cooking dinner and she was spread on my sofa reading it. Her reactions gave me one of the greatest joys I've ever experienced. When she started punching pillows and making excited noises and grinning and cheering and cursing... :-) I felt like dancing. It was wonderful.

Who am I to give advice to anyone? :-)
But well, the only way to become a writer is writing, so I'd say: write. Show your work to willing friends, get some feedback, give your work a nice polish and submit it away. If things doesn't work the classical way, there are other ways now. There's self-publishing, blogging, writing communities, writing contests... The contemporary world is full of alternative paths that sometimes can lead you to getting a deal with a publishing house.

My dissertation *laugh* gotta finish it. It's the big MUST DO of the immediate present. Although I've had what I consider to be the greatest of my ideas so far, and the story has been bubbling inside of me ever since, just waiting for the chance to get out. I'm dying to write it as well. The onyle thing I need is time to do it :-). If it turns out the way I imagined it, it will be good :-D. It's a sci-fi project.

At least to me, inspiration is not something that *I* can get :-D. It has a life of its own and comes to me when it wants to :-D. When it does, when I have an idea I like, I write it down on notebooks in order not to forget. The notebooks, then, become some sort of inspiration database, and I get back to them when I want/have time to start a new project. What I’ve noticed is that inspiration finds its way to you more often if you keep active creatively.

It just came to me one day. I'd been struggling with a fantasy novel project when, one night, I had this fantastic romantic dream and woke up so, so happy. It was the thing that made the connection for me. You see, I've been an avid romance reader since my teens. So, after that dream I thought, "Well, since I like romance novels so much, why don't I write one?" So on my way to university that day, on the subway, I got my notebook and pen out and began to write.
