I started writing the Jack Raven Ghost Mystery years ago. It was a mess but I liked Jack and kept going back to it. I've always believed in ghosts and am sure I've seen or sensed a number of them. Jack is definitely not me, but if I hunted ghosts for a living, I would want to do it just like her.

My bills inspire me. I've always written to appease the voices in my head but without focus or determination. Now I look at it as a business and the voices are happy about that.

Outlining works for me. Each chapter may only have a few lines to guide me but focuses on the goal. I lot of those goals are potholes so I also free form with real paper and pen when I get stuck.
