Why is there so less writings on youth politics??
Reetwika Banerjee Thanks for asking the ques. Politics is not my genre of writing and I intentionally avoid the topic in my stories.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Reetwika Banerjee I had been writing short stories since a long time now, publishing few of them here and there in various little magazines. Somehow I felt why not create something new? Let's come out of the traditional old English style. Let's try depicting my thoughts in simple words, smaller length and with a twist at the end which will compel my readers to think beyond. It somehow gave me food for thought and I coined my stories as "MICRO" stories, as most of them are even shorter than a typical short story.

How do you get inspired to write?
Reetwika Banerjee During my initial days of childhood, it was my mom who inspired me to start writing. Now its my husband who has pushed me to take it to publishing.
I feel very lucky to be have so dearly inspiring people around me.

Reetwika Banerjee I am currently working on my next book of Micro Story collection (English).

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Reetwika Banerjee Keep writing. Don't get disappointed even if you do not find a single reader. You never know your which creation will soar you to the zenith of acceptance.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Reetwika Banerjee Your independence as a writer I feel is the best thing. You are at the liberty of carving lives of others the way you want.
