I can only pass on two things I was told. Firstly, you should read, read, and read some more. By seeing how other authors write, their style, and how they create worlds, you can learn to do the same thing. Secondly, write for yourself first. If you don't like it, don't feel the passion of your characters, then your readers won't either.

I'm currently working on four stories, one of which is the next book in the Resurrection City series which, fingers crossed, will be released mid to end of August this year.

Hmmm. To be honest I can't think of any mysteries in my life which could be used as a book plot. Though I guess it would be interesting to have one which I could try to weave into the worlds I create.
