Writers get to do anything. They can live anywhere, be anything, meet anyone. All as long as they can imagine it. As a kid who grew up with a million career dreams, being anything I want to be is a big deal. There's also a wonderful creator's complex that comes with finishing a book. You've made a whole world and populated it with people. That's very cool.

I stop writing, go watch TV, and then I eat massive amounts of food. If that doesn't work a shower helps. Some of the human race's greatest achievements were dreamed up in the shower.

Always write. Don't get discouraged. Frankly, writing is hard and emotionally draining and time consuming. But if you want to be a writer, write.
