My daughter recently asked where I got the idea for my Shifters trilogy. She insisted I must have been inspired by other readings and stories to arrive at the unique premise. I explained to her that, while I did have inspiration, the inspiration had come from some of the science I had learned while in university. I had always wondered how those theories applied to the real world - so I wrote about how I thought some of those theories would play out in the world around us.
