Hi Fabiola, Ah, thank you so much! I am so happy to hear you are enjoying your time in Karadok! I do not currently have any plans to write a book around Sir Renlow as his love story was the secondary romance in "Her Bridegroom Bought and Paid For", although I do think a novella featuring him and Ursula might work at some future point. ~ Alice

Hi Daffodil, so sorry I missed this question! The book you mention ("A Much Maligned Miss") is currently with the proofreader and due for release around the end of next month! (I am hoping around the 25th March) ~ Alice

Hi Angelina, good news the audiobook is already underway. I hope that it will be released around the end of August/ beginning of September time. Alice

Thank you so much for such lovely feedback. Currently I do not have plans to write any more with Nat and Dot but that could change in the future. Tristan I think will be cropping up again, I just need to have a good think about his circumstances. I know how his story would start but I need to figure out the rest of his redemption journey...

Hi Daffodil, A Most Forgettable Girl should be out by the end of June, but it may be around that last week in the month. After that I will be switching to a Victorian book, the second book in the Reversal of Fortune series. You make an interesting point about upcoming books and I will have to take a look at that. I do like to alternate between the Karadok and Victorian books to keep things fresh and sometimes my order of books changes in the writing schedule but maybe I could book something in the blog? Thanks for the food for thought. ~ Alice

Ah, thank you so much Jewel, that means a lot to me. I have been considering maybe writing some short story/ novellas on secondary characters at some point, specifically the ones that people ask me about a lot, and the Hainfroys would definitely come under this category. I do not yet have any time frame for this though, but it is definitely on my radar. ~ Alice

Hi Alissa, I have to admit I have never come across such a thing as a height/ body chart for characters in novels. The only thing I can think of which might be similar is a picture representation on Top Trump cards where they show you dinosaur silhouettes in comparison to humans. Does this sound the same kind of thing? Sorry to be very ignorant on the subject. ~ Alice

Hi there, I am so glad you loved "The Favourite". I am very fond of that one myself. To answer your question, no, Jane and Alisander do not go on to have more biological children, Celestia will be their only treasured child though Bertrand will grow up alongside her as her constant companion so she will not be alone in the nursery. I promise you that their little family feels complete and they are very fulfilled. I hope you are happy with that answer. ~ Alice

Hi there Moonlight, Gunnilde's MMC has been mentioned previously in both "Her Bridegroom Bought and Paid For" and "The Favourite" but only spoken of by other courtiers, he has not appeared on page so his name probably won't mean a lot currently. Kit, Cuthbert and Hal will all feature heavily but they are currently squires of around sixteen years, so too young to be the love interest in this latest book. They are however, great allies of Gunnilde's and so far have been great fun to write!

(view spoiler)[Hi!!! I just reread Wed by Proxy and I'm wondering if Tristan is truly dead...? :( (hide spoiler)]

Hi there, I have thought about this a lot since I wrote that scene and speedily came to the decision that Tristan survived by the skin of his teeth! Oswald's men never did find a body in the caves. Instead, Tristan woke up in the witch's hut, with a confused memory and feeling very sore and weak. Old Helga gave him a different name to go by and told him he had to work off his sins... There is a story there that I would like to get to some day... I hope this is good news. ~ Alice

Hi there, currently I do not have any plans to write a book around Huw and Agnes but that might change at some point in the future. I have to say that particular couple, along with Ivo and Magda are the ones that I get the most messages about regarding the possibility of a future book. I did think that maybe I could write a series of short stories about secondary characters at some point, but maybe a book with two couples sharing the spotlight might also work. I will have to bear it in mind. Thanks for the food for thought! Take care ~ Alice

Hi Roberta, as soon as I release the eBook for "A Foolish Flirtation" mid-Sept time, then I plan on starting the process of getting it converted into an audiobook, never fear. It usually takes at least 3 months, but hopefully won't be too long before I can get that out. Thanks for your interest. ~ Alice

Hi there Sonal, thank you so much! I have a Victorian romance releasing mid-September time called "A Foolish Flirtation" but this is book one in a new series called The 'Reversal of Fortune' series, which may feature characters from the Prizefighter series. The first book features Jeremy Vance (Mina's brother) as the hero.
I do have two or three possible ideas for further prizefighter novels but they are not on the writing schedule at present time though they may get bumped up the list depending on how inspiration strikes... I hope this is good news Sonal. Kind regards ~ Alice

Hi Sarah, please don't apologize, I am happy you are so keen for the next Karadok book. I am currently working on my next Victorian romance which I anticipate will be released mid-Sept. I will then start to write 'A Most Forgettable Girl' as that is my next project. I anticipate that will be released around Feb 2025. Thanks for your enthusiasm ~ Alice

Hi Daffodil, Gunnilde's book is the book I will be writing after I finish Jeremy's, but I think it is more likely to be an end of Jan 2025/ early Feb 2025 release just because December is such a hectic time of year. ~ Alice

Hi Ramsiya, I now anticipate Jeremy's novel, now titled "A Foolish Flirtation" will be released mid September time. ~ Alice

Hi Victoria, thank you so much. I am so glad those two books resonated with you. Yours is a difficult question to answer, as different readers find they connect better with different books. I would hope that I write more couples that work for you, but it is a difficult thing to guarantee. I can say that I do think a lot about my characters and the connection that they make. Before I start any book, I try writing test scenes to check the characters chemistry and make sure that their dialogue flows etc. I hope this answers your question in a roundabout sort of way and hope you enjoy some more of my couples in the future. ~ Alice

Hi Cherry,
Thank you so much : ) The Victorian book is the one I am working on right now but it is still in the early stages as I have been preparing a second lot of printing (Brides of Karadok paperbacks this time), which has taken up a lot of my writing time.
I am hoping to finish it end of June time. ~ Alice

(view spoiler)[I've finally read A Contracted Spouse for a Prizefighter, and I want to confirm if Harold and Eddie are together? And if so, will Theo and Hetty ever realize that they're not just "really good friends?" (hide spoiler)]
Alice Coldbreath
Hi Alissa, yes Harold and Eddie are very definitely together. In my mind Theo is already aware of their relationship. Having read lots of classic literature, including Greek legends, she will not be too shocked. She is terribly fond of both of them and very happy they have found each other. Henrietta will remain oblivious for a year or two, when it slowly dawns on her. By that point she will consider them both to be family and beyond reproach.

Hi Natalie, I have a list of couples that people tell me they would like to hear more from, and I keep it as a prospective list for novellas maybe further down the line when I have hit a writer's block or no longer feel able to write full length novels. Otho and Rose are on that list and in fact, you are the second person this week to write to me about them, so maybe I should move them up nearer the top!
