Take it easy! Don't get discouraged if you get a great idea, write twenty pages and then seem to stop completely. Energy goes in waves, in my experience, and you have to chip away a little at a time each day and wait for those great waves of energy to come and go. The trick is to write every day for a little bit, and let the ups and downs be part of the ride. Don't quit if the magic leaves; it will come back if you stay the course.
