Here's a quick explanation of what's going on with Our Own Way.
In 2021, I began writing a modern day harem romance in a bid to keep my sanity. This was Our Own Way. I didn't think anyone would really be interested in it, but a lot of people did start to read it, and I ended up finishing out the series in early 2022 at 7 episodes.
This year, I decided to do a full reboot of the series, and so I have begun a from-the-ground-up rewrite. The first novel is out now (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBGM36Z2) and I'm working on the sequel.
The novel that is up there now covers roughly the first three episodes (which were novellas) and expands on them greatly.

I'm sorry it took me so long to answer, I had basically given up on ever getting a question and Goodreads never told me anyone had asked!
I'd say the most honest answer is basically just that he's the protagonist of the series. But at least some of it was the fact that most of the women he ended up with were inhumans who had a human fetish, and he was one of the only humans willing to hook up with them, which naturally led to a more emotional connection as they kept sleeping together and spending time together.

I'd say that generally it's written for men but I'm happy for everyone that reads it.
As for the aliens, I'm not completely sure. I just kinda made them up on a whim. Cyvits because I like furry cat-girls and dysil because I really, really like demon girls.
