I'm not really sure. It seems like some creative urge inside that want's to get out. Once I start thinking about a story, it starts to wright itself. Sometimes the stories flow along nicely, Other times, they'r more like molasses in January.

Don't be afraid to get started. If you have a good idea for a book, sit down and start typing. Sure you'll make mistakes, everyone does. That's what editing is for.
