How do you get inspired to write?
Robert Wallace Finlay By maintaining a sense of wonder and awe at the world around, it is easy to be inspired. So much to learn, so little time.

Robert Wallace Finlay Read good writing, read the masters, read the successful (don't think success is just number of sales, or you'll start to read "Bodice Ripper" crap)

Read Stephen King's "On Writing." Very helpful

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Robert Wallace Finlay When "writers' block" comes, I take time to review what I have already written, or stop and devote some solid time to marketing my published book. It passes. Sometimes the problem is not being able to type fast enough.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Robert Wallace Finlay The story came almost in a "flash" and all I had to do was write it down and refine/edit/vet the text etc. I have been working in Alaska for 15 years and it seemed that I was nearing the end of working there. Will continue for a few more years though, unless writing becomes profitable enough to devote full time to it. Thanks
