Congratulations Sarah on pursuing your passion and dreams!! You are an inspiration for just following your own gut and writing for you! What did you find the hardest thing to overcome as a young writer?
Sarah Jae Blake Honestly the hardest thing was to evenly pace the plot. I knew my characters so well and knew what their story was that I would almost skip over important details that the audience would need to understand the story

omg you started at 16! i just turned 16 like two week ago and i've been planning on starting on publishing my books now, do you have any advice? (p.s i've been looking for someone who was in the publishing industry to talk to!)
Sarah Jae Blake The advice that I have is to first self publish! It is completely free and it helps young start up writers like ourselves to get some recognition and help our books reach a large platform.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Sarah Jae Blake I just start writing whatever I feel like. I usually stumble on an idea that I like.

How do you get inspired to write?
Sarah Jae Blake I just look at everyday things and think of what ways I could modify them. I also read whenever I can.

Sarah Jae Blake I was thinking of working on a prequel to Sketches. What do you guys think?

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Sarah Jae Blake Being able to have people read my book. Just the idea that people love something I did gives me the most joy you could ever imagine.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Sarah Jae Blake Don't give up just because you have writers' block. I had writers' block for half a year and I almost gave up on writing when I all of a sudden became really inspired and finished my book.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sarah Jae Blake My friend and I were walking in the park and she said that if her boyfriend(who likes to draw) ever died, she'd bring his sketchbook to his burial site and draw in it everyday.
