Have you read The Gringo Champion by Aura Xilonen? I'm reading it now. It reminds me of Meet Me Halfway in that it stars a down-and-out kid who's capable of getting ahead if he only gets the chance. Thanks for reading my review of your book!

I haven't read it, but I will add it to my list. I love those kinds of young-people-figuring-it-out stories. As a mom and someone who's been involved in education in many ways over the years, I think this kind of story can help expand young people's dreams.
