How do I get inspired to write? It's simple, anything. Anything can be an inspiration. A scene from a movie, the look and feel of a character, a quote, or even something as simple as a feeling, all of these have served as inspiration for what I write.

Far too many projects. I have two larger sequel novels I am currently trying to finish. One is the sequel to The Marshal entitled, The Drifter, and the other is the next story in the Tales of Tyriel series called, The Drethdin Job. I am also working on a compilation of short stories that take place in the world of The Marshal, as well as another unrelated short story.
I tend to bounce around between the many projects I have been coming up with, but those are what I am focusing on as of now.

Write. It is as simple as that. Just write. It doesn't matter if it is bad, good, or somewhere in between. Get your thoughts out onto a page and do not worry about the quality. If you have a story or an idea in mind: write it down! Keep track of everything you write and watch as you grow. The only way to become a better writer is to do it.

Sharing stories with others. I have always enjoyed being a story teller, especially when I get to teach history, and having the privilege of sharing my own stories with other people is an entirely different experience.

To be honest I have never really experienced writer's block. I write when I feel inspired to, and when I am not feeling that desire then I do other things. I have roughly 40-50 stories that I am planning and scaffolding, so there are very few times I feel as though I cannot come up with something to write. If I ever end up struggling with a particular plot point or story line, the best thing to do is to not think about it. The right solution will come along eventually.
