Harper Kincaid Oh ALL time? Or ones from my books? Either question feels impossible to answer lol...but I'll give it a try...

I adore Gideon and Eva in Sylvia Day's Crossfire series. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and both have enough vulnerability to make them seem real to me.

And I love all of Vi Keeland's books and characters - my favorite couple may have to be Reece and Chase from her novel, Bossman. He's gorgeous, smart and funny - my personal kryptonite - and Reece is a sweetheart. Their dialogue hooked me right in.

In my books, I'm partial to Kyle and Samantha from Heart Breaker - because, well, two players getting together? Neither had a chance.

What they all have in common is the characters had a little something extra I didn't expect - surprise and sincerity really work for me. What about you and your favorites?
Harper Kincaid Hey Lissa!

So glad you're liking what's out so far! So let's see...BIND ME BEFORE YOU GO and HEART BREAKER (two different series) came out this month - yeah! In the fall/winter, keep an eye out for CLAIM ME BEFORE I BREAK, Allison and Leo's story in the Serve series. The third and final installment in the Break on Through series - called GIRL BREAKER - will be out in 2016. As soon as I have a date, I promise, promise to let you know :)

Send me an email to HarperKincaid26@gmail.com and I'll put you on my new newsletter list. I know, I know - I'm sooo late to the e-newsletter party!

I like to think fashionably late ;-)

So happy you're into the characters as much as I am!

Harper Kincaid I read others' romance novels! Not to copy what they're doing exactly, but to get the mental juices flowing again. A good nap also works wonders.
Harper Kincaid Writing romance novels is my dream job - no doubt! And I love it for so many reasons - the most significant being that everything and everyone around me serves as inspiration for another story. Writing is the lens in which I see the world and that experience makes my life richer.
Harper Kincaid Read, read, and then read some more. Find authors that grab you by the gut and study what they've done. The first time I read a new book, it's just as a reader, going on the journey the author wants me to go on. If it's one which I'm thinking about days afterwards, I go back and re-read it more critically. Was the dialogue? Did the story work better because it was written in first or third person? Was it better because of the POV? Do this enough, then start writing. Oh and finish what you start. I am convinced half the challenge is confidence, and completing a work will get you there faster.
Harper Kincaid I'm working on two books for Entangled Publishing's Brazen imprint. Both are for their new BDSM club-inspired series. The first one is titled "BIND ME BEFORE YOU GO" and the second one is called "CLAIM ME BEFORE I BREAK." I'm really enjoying exploring the darker sides of my character's sexuality.
Harper Kincaid Reading the works of my favorite authors, especially Kristen Ashley, inspired me to try writing romances as well. I tried other genres through the years - children's books, memoir - but they felt more like work than pleasure. Writing romance novels is NOT easy, but I enjoy the process so much more because I know a HEA is guaranteed.
Harper Kincaid I was inspired by the popular book, "The Rules of Dating" and thought the idea of a young woman trying to follow those rules - and failing beautifully - would be a fun ride to go on! Mar Carr's book "Full Moon" also served as fodder because I liked how each chapter began with an item on her New Year's resolution list and was crossed off. I did the same, in the sense that each chapter highlighted a rule and was crossed off and replaced by what Lauren did instead.
