Eruch Adams Change the location of my writing. Sometimes the little nagging tasks of the home-office are too much. Getting out to a coffee shop provides the adequate white noise and lack of laundry to focus on some writing work.
Otherwise, changing modes of writing (from editing to actual writing new material on a different chapter or story).
Long hot showers, walks, or being forced to watch really boring performances (where it would be unseemly to get up and leave) are all great stimulants for writing.
Eruch Adams I just had a mysterious lost time capsule incident in the last year. The cement marker was tossed aside to make way for an unforeseen fence and now some one-of-a kind materials are lost, including a letter from a special figure who has now passed on. Solving this thing is playing out like a good mystery novel in my head at least.
Eruch Adams My next book is called, "Totem." A Native American Contemporary Fantasy novel set in both Seattle, WA and on the Hopi reservation in Arizona. A young man named Tosh Cloudtree's journey to reconcile strange dreams and what they portend. Environmental destruction and street riots loom large as Tosh falls in with a questionable crowd who might be considered freedom fighters, but then again, they might be crazy terrorists. Through it all, Tosh can no longer ignore the powerful forces at work around him. Despite his own disbelief, magic just might be real for those who know where to look.
Totem is 315 pages and will be released in Paperback and ebooks sometime just after Christmas, 2014.
