Write as often as you can. If you have something you think is good, leave it alone for a while, get some other opinions about it, then go back and rewrite it.

When I'm blocked trying to write on a current project, I start writing something else, it could be another project or something completely nonsensical as long as it has some coherence to it. Usually the block will clear when I'm doing something completely different; working on car, doing laundry, working the conveyor at work, etc..
